• Processing area: Access is reserved for applicants, except for people with reduced mobility who may be accompanied.

Security checks:

• A visual inspection of personal belongings, clothing and devices may be carried out before entering or inside the premises.
• Any disruptive behaviour may result in restrictive measures against the applicant concerned.

Prohibited items:

• ❌ Bulky bags: Suitcases and travel bags are prohibited (no cloakroom service). Only small handbags are allowed after inspection.
• ❌ Dangerous objects: Weapons (real or fake), sharp tools, defence sprays, lighters.
• ❌ Prohibited substances: Flammable liquids, chemical products, narcotics.
• ❌ Electronic devices: The use of phones, tablets and computers may be restricted in certain areas.

The security team reserves the right to refuse access to anyone who does not comply with these rules.

Visa applicants must appear in person to submit their file at Capago centres. Any minor applicant must be accompanied by their legal guardian or a representative. The latter must be in possession of a delegation of parental authority, duly issued by the competent authorities.

Biometric collection exemptions for visas

• Children under 12: Exempt from biometric data collection but must nevertheless be present when the visa application is submitted.
• Applicants who have already obtained a visa within the 59 months preceding the submission of the new application. They must then provide the number of the previous visa sticker as well as a copy of the previous visa;
• Applicants who are physically unable to provide their fingerprints. However, where at least one finger can be scanned, biometric collection remains mandatory;
• Heads of State or government, members of national governments, as well as their accompanying spouses, when officially invited by Schengen States or by international organisations.

Access to the centre is permitted 30 minutes before the appointment time to ensure a smooth and organised welcome.

A delay of 15 minutes maximum is tolerated only for:

• Elderly people
• Pregnant women
• Specific cases validated by the consulate

The consular section may decide to receive certain applicants or certain categories of visa applicants directly, with or without going through Capago for appointment management.

Fees

The visa application fees consist of:

• Administrative fees incurred for the processing of your application. The amount paid is retained by the Consulate of France, even in the event of visa refusal. For more details, please consult the table of fees by visa type (pdf) .
• Service fees of 120 euros are mandatory for all visa applications.

Prepayment

Prepayment is a mandatory step once an appointment has been allocated. It must be made within 72 hours to confirm the booking.

If payment is not made within this period, the allocated slot is automatically cancelled and made available to other applicants.

Payment methods

Prepayment of service fees can only be made via the secure online payment platform.

Payment of administrative fees (visa fees) and any additional service you may use will be settled on the day of your appointment at our visa centre. We accept payments in cash as well as by bank card. A receipt will be given to you immediately and mandatorily for any payment made at our visa application collection centre.

The Premium Service is a VIP service designed to offer a smooth, fast and comfortable application experience. It includes:

• Access to a lounge with a selection of drinks, sweet and savoury snacks and magazines.
• Personalised support throughout your visit.
• Free photocopying and printing services.
• Fast processing of your application at the centre.

• 30 euros (child aged 6 to 12)
